Selene FAQs and support
A little clarity,
when you need it.
From your first steps to a postcard that won’t share. Find the answers here, at your own pace.
Getting started
Can I try Selene without an account?
Yes. As a guest, you can choose a sign, read its daily horoscope and see the daily ratings. The celestial calendar is public.
Complete readings, horoscope postcards and the other beta features require a free account. You can create one on the app’s sign-in screen.
Is Selene free? Are there any subscriptions?
The web beta is free. An account gives you access to Free and Plus features, with no payment required.
Premium Astral is being developed and is not available to buy. The current offering has no active paid subscriptions.
Where can I use Selene?
Open the web beta in your phone or computer’s browser. There is no need to download an app from a store.
The Android version is in development and is not yet available on Google Play. There are no iOS or desktop installer links here.
Readings and postcards
How should I interpret the readings?
Horoscopes and divination are offered as entertainment and prompts for reflection. Readings are not certain predictions or professional advice for important decisions.
The app distinguishes zodiac readings from personal readings. The postcard previews on this website are editorial examples: they are neither your horoscope for today nor a session in the real app.
What if I don’t know my birth time?
During sign-up, you can select “I don’t know the time”. If you only know the approximate time, you can indicate that too.
There is no need to make up a time. Without it, details that depend on the time, such as your rising sign and houses, are limited. Zodiac readings are still a way to get started.
How do I create a horoscope postcard?
Sign in to Selene, open your horoscope reading and tap “Share”. The “Create your card” panel shows a preview and lets you choose an available theme and format.
Choose Story 9:16 or Post 1:1. Tap “Share” again to create the PNG image and open your device’s sharing options.
Why does my postcard download instead of being shared?
The available options depend on your browser and device. When file sharing is supported, Selene opens the system sharing panel with your postcard.
Otherwise, it downloads “selene-card.png”. You can attach that file to a message or post it in your preferred app. Cancelling the sharing panel does not send the postcard.
Does the person receiving my postcard need Selene?
No. The postcard is a PNG image, so anyone receiving it can read it like any other image, without installing Selene or creating an account.
Any link included when sharing invites the recipient to open Selene. It does not lead to a public page storing your particular reading.
Where can I find a reading I saved?
For tarot, rune, I Ching and oracle spreads, use “Save to history”. Saved readings appear in the app’s History section, available with an account in the beta.
Reading history and postcards are separate: a downloaded PNG is in your device’s downloads, not in a postcard archive inside Selene.
Account and support
I forgot my password. How do I sign in again?
On the sign-in screen, select “Forgot your password?” and enter your account’s email address. If the address is registered, you will receive an email with a link to choose a new password.
Check your spam or junk folder too. The link can only be used once: if it has already been used or is no longer valid, request a new one from the same screen.
The app asks me to confirm my email. What should I do?
Open the confirmation message sent to the address you used to sign up and follow its link. Then return to Selene’s sign-in screen.
If you cannot find the message, check your spam or junk folder. If the problem continues, contact support and describe what appears on screen. Do not send passwords or sign-in links.
How do I report a problem or suggest a feature?
If you are signed in, open Settings → Feedback. You can report a bug, suggest a feature or send another comment.
You can also email [email protected] without signing in. For a technical problem, include your device, browser, the steps you took and the error message. Do not send passwords or access codes.
How do I delete my account?
Sign in to Selene and open Settings → Account → Delete account. Read the summary and confirm only if you want to proceed: this action is permanent.
See the privacy policy for details about how data is processed and retained. If you cannot sign in or the process returns an error, contact support.
